Your account

You do not need an account to use Purrk. If you create one, keep access to its email address: we sign you in with codes sent there. You can delete your account at any time.

Caring for your pet

Purrk is for fun and enrichment. It is not veterinary advice. Start at a low volume, watch how your pet reacts, and stop if your pet seems stressed or afraid. Do not leave sounds playing for long periods without checking on your pet.

Sharing sounds

When you share a sound to the community, you confirm that:

• You recorded it yourself, of your own pet or an animal you are allowed to record.
• It does not contain other people's music, recordings, or private conversations.
• You are happy for anyone to hear it, including any voices or sounds in the background.

You keep ownership of your recordings. By sharing one, you give Purrk a worldwide, free, non-exclusive license to store, convert, copy and distribute it, and to let other people play it and use it in their patterns in the app. This license ends when you delete the sound or your account. Copies on other people's phones are deleted the next time their app goes online.

Community rules

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not share or write anything that:

• is hateful, harassing, sexual, violent or threatening;
• shows or encourages cruelty to animals;
• is mainly human speech, or contains someone's personal information;
• is spam, or is not an animal sound;
• breaks the law or someone else's rights.

Each shared sound is checked before it is public, and titles and descriptions go through a word filter. Report a sound from its ⋯ menu. You can also hide everything from the person who shared it. We review reports and aim to act within 24 hours: we remove sounds that break these rules, and we can close the accounts of people who share them.

The app and its sounds

The sounds that come with Purrk are licensed to us. You may play them in the app, but you may not copy them out of it. We may change, add or remove features and sounds.

No warranty

Purrk is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses from using the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law where you live.

Changes

If these terms change, we update the date at the top. For important changes, we also tell you in the app.
